The Author

Carlos M. Gonzalez was born in Colon, Province of Matanzas, Cuba. He is a lover of history, education, and free enterprise, of freedom of expression and thought not only in Cuba but in the world. After studying Baccalaureate in Cuba, when he was about to start a Law Degree, this dream is truncated, first because in 1958 the University had been closed by the Batista dictatorship afterwards. Among his other projects are the polishing of a work that demonstrates the economic progress of Cuba in the Republican era, its main reasons and how to help the countries of Central, South America, and the Caribbean achieve similar progress in their respective countries.
